POSITION SUMMARY

As Director of Marketing with Medicx Health, you will be a key team member who will lead our Marketing department.  You will continue to build Medicx’s position as the leader in data driven addressable media, marketing and analytics in the life sciences and related health verticals. 

You will be responsible for developing and implementing the Company’s marketing strategy for the company, individual lines of business, and for individual products.  This role will require extensive interaction and collaboration with the rest of the leadership team to understand company and product directions that can be used to develop a supportive marketing strategy and plan.    

As the marketing team leader, you will develop a growth plan for the team, which can include both internal and external resources.  You will develop a multi-pronged approach to marketing that will include promotion across relevant channels to improve Medicx performance across the marketing funnel, from awareness to decision to purchase.  You will also develop analytical methods to assess the performance of the marketing initiatives to allow for optimization based on proven successes. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Use market research, customer insights and competitive intelligence to understand company, product and competitor positioning in the market  
  • Work with company leaders to develop unique company and brand positioning in market and evolve marketing strategy and product development based on market demand 
  • Leverage understanding of market position to develop strategic marketing plan for company and its product offerings, including promotional calendars and programs, new product introductions and other marketing projects 
  • Oversee the operation of a company’s website, LinkedIn page or email marketing programs and provide analytics reviews 
  • Develop process to track and document market and competitor developments across Medicx business lines and keep company informed / educated on all developments 
  • Be quantitative in your approach, always thinking about understanding the impact of your initiatives and using such data for decision making 
  • Develop annual marketing plan based on key corporate and product goals, while being nimble enough to evolve plan based on market and product dynamics 
  • Ability to collaborate closely with other teams, including sales, product, data and operations, and analytics teams to leverage all company knowledge 
  • Manage external providers, such as consultants, freelancers and other suppliers, including the development of an outsourcing strategy and plan, contract negotiation and management 
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Supervise a marketing team, including hiring, training, workloads, schedules and deadlines 
  • Develop, monitor and manage marketing budgets 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related discipline 
  • At least 5-10 years of deep healthcare data, media or analytics marketing experience, across both corporate and product marketing 
  • Experience creating and executing go-to-market strategies for new products and services  
  • Ability to think outside the box, brainstorm and ideate with other teams to create new and/or evolve current products and services, strategies and presentation materials  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to concisely convey key points  
  • Ability to shift between big picture strategic thinking and day-to-day tactical and operational execution  
  • Leadership skills to manage internal team members, external vendors/partners and members of other teams that don’t report into marketing team 
  • Comfortable in a dynamic environment
